Unfortunatly the time has come to end the Insurgency Team. It has been a very hard decision for me to make but I can't see a way forward for us with the present team. No one is to blame, its just one of those things.

Over the last 2 years or more we have had many members come and go and a change of leadership several times as well. It has been a tough battle to keep the team going for this long. After all Insurgency is just a Mod. I have been the captain of the team for the last year or so, I probably haven't been the best leader but I believe I've done the best I can. I would like to thank everyone for your support and all the best for the future, which ever direction you have gone or are going.

What about the Insurgency servers whats going to happen to them? I will still be running these 2 servers but I will be renaming them and having a map rotation of just 3 or 4 of the most popular maps running on each server. Hopefully this will keep the numbers up on at least one of the servers every night. If you have any suggestions for the servers like the maps that you would like to see rotated on them please let me know.

So what now now for VCM? With the end of the Insurgency Team this means that there are currently no active teams in VCM. But of course VCM will still live on! We haven't decided which game yet but this is partly up to you guys as well. Maybe Modern Warefare 2, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising or maybe some other game. I've seen recently that many previous members have got back into Team Fortress 2 again so you never know maybe this team can make a comeback?

Even though there are currently no teams in VCM doesn't mean you can't continue to use the forums. I hope to still see our website used by all our forum members. As you may of already noticed I have made new topics in the general discussion forum display on the homepage as well to help encourage people reading and replying to these topics. It has been very quite round here over the last few months but thanks to everyone who have continued to make the effort to make posts on the forums.

This website will be undergoing some changes between now and the new year so that will be something to look forward to as well.

All the best,

Nohero

wow thats huge. I thought the Insurgency team will carry VCM back into its once glorious state. I just hope VCM can get into a new game so we can get these forums active again. I have met some of the greatest people through here, Belthoron, SpoQn, Sasius and of course you Nohero just to name a few.

Been meaning to post for a while, haven't got around to it...

Shame to see the INS team going, however hopefully VCM's future will be bright. Looking forward to this Christmas business Cambo! Mid-next year I should be getting a new computer to play the game's VCM will inevitably be fielding teams in, so hooray.

On another note, I am about to destroy Steam. It's having one of it's "logging in? Screw that!" moments.

lol hey me and prowler were just playing with a new clan called CR (Chemical Reaction) if you would like to carry on in another Insurgency Clan. They seem like a good bunch!

I'm upgrading my computer at the weekend so that I can play some of the new games. Seen the price for Modern Warefare 2?!? I was very surprised! Retails at $135 NZD! I'm not too sure which game to go for now as Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising is just $90 NZD. Think Dragon Rising is more realistic but MW2 will probably be more fun and more people playing it in AUS/NZ. What do u guys think?

I was reading this week that MW2 wont be having dedicated servers or something, and online matches will just be random? I haven't gotten around to looking at it too much, but I'm guessing it'll be something like how BF-1943 works, where you just join random servers or ones your freinds are one.

I'm sure one you you chaps knows something more about the issue..

PS: $135 for MW2... WTF. Had heard they were going to charge a bit for it... shame, feels like it's just because they know people are waiting for it... they could be pushing it though!

135 you serious?

Its already being called the best selling game of all time, it has already prooven to beat the record for the most pre orders for a game ever. For 135 theyll make a killing. I diddnt buy Modern Warfare 2 so I may not be as excited as what I should be for it's sequel so I rather wait till it gets to a decent price.

Far as development goes it is nothing more than a sequel, same engine, same gameplay. Maybe a new single player campaign and maybe new modes for online games, definetly not worth over $100 if their only smaller changes, this isn't guitar hero!

So much money...I got 5 days to decide whether to buy or not...I might wait for one of those weekend deals they do, hoping they have one for Modern Warfare 2. Yeah, I think I will wait a bit now.
Reason for edit: decision made in seconds, not days
